BIOGRAPHY
Katherine Gregory is one of the UK’s most sought after young soprano’s. At age 20 she made her Royal Festival Hall alongside the Bach Choir and Philharmonia Orchestra, and has gone on to sing with them many times. She makes regular solo appearences in prestigious venues around the country, including Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall and King’s College Chapel, where she recently made her live Radio 3 debut with the Bach Choir and BBC Concert Orchestra performing Duruflé’s Requiem and Poulenc’s Lenten Motets.
Katherine is the recipient the Eleanor Margaret Scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music, where she is studying for an MA with Susan Waters and Chris Hopkins.
In Academy Opera Scenes, she has performed the titular roles in Bellini’s Norma, Strauss’ Arabella and Cilea’s Adriana Lecouvreur, Isabella in Wagner’s Das Liebesverbot and Donna Anna in Mozart’s Don Giovanni. She was a finalist in the 2025 Richard Lewis Competition and in the winning ensemble of the Nancy Nuttall Early Music Prize. Next year she is continuing her studies with Royal Academy Opera.
Katherine undertook her undergraduate at Cambridge University, reading Theology and Philosophy at Newnham College. She sang with Trinity College Choir with whom she performed the Pie Jesu in their highly acclaimed film and recording of Duruflé’s Requiem.
Katherine’s 2025-6 highlights include Bach’s St John Passion with St John’s College Choir, Elijah in Lincoln Cathedral and Arundel Cathedral, Verdi’s Requiem in Truro Cathedral, Faure’s Requiem in Cadogan Hall, and Duruflé’s Requiem in Holy Trinity Sloane Square.
This summer, Katherine performs Mimì in Puccini’s La Bohème with the Westminster Opera Company.
